New evidences about Salman Abedi attack in 2017

Considering the evidence presented in the U.K. in recent days, it is becoming increasingly clear to me that a connection between intelligence and the security teams operating in the field is of critical importance.

In May 2017, the terrorist Salman Abedi detonated an explosive device he carried on his body at the end of a concert at an arena in Manchester, killing 22 people. Hundreds more were injured.

An MI5 officer who gave a statement to the inquiry said his agency had had information suggesting Abedi may be involved in planning a terror attack, but the security teams in the field had not been alerted to this treat.

I sincerely hope that we will all learn from this incident, and that in the future we will know how to make the right connection between intelligence and security.
