The C-RAM Defense System Was Partially Successful in Intercepting Rockets Fired at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad

Embassy security continues to pose a considerable challenge, with advanced technologies being harnessed for the task.

Media outlets report that two rockets were fired at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, capital of Iraq, in the early morning of December 19.

The American C-RAM system, intended to defend against rocket fire, has successfully intercepted one of the two rockets, and its remnants landed outside the Embassy.

The second rocket landed inside the U.S. Embassy compound.
